Robert Herjavec on CNBC Squawk Alley: Rising Cost of Ransomware
September 8, 2016
Herjavec Group Founder and CEO, Robert Herjavec, recently appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Alley to discuss cybersecurity risks for enterprises including the rising cost of ransomware. According to a new report published by Cybersecurity Ventures in partnership with Herjavec Group, Hackerpocalypse: A Cybercrime Revelation, ransomware costs are expected to exceed $1 billion by the close of 2016.
Herjavec insists, “Organizations need to increase their defenses and become more resilient, because there is no end state in sight for this epidemic. So long as cybercriminals can get paid, with limited risk, attacks will continue. The challenge remains that large enterprises aren’t nearly as agile as their attackers.”
