George Frempong Co-Founder & SVP Sales
George Frempong is Senior Vice President of Sales and Co-Founder of Herjavec Group, bringing nearly twenty years of sales experience in the Canadian networking security industry to the company. George started his IT career with BRAK Systems in 1997 as a Security Solutions Sales Representative. When BRAK was sold to AT&T Canada in 2000, George worked with AT&T’s Internet and eBusiness division and later moved to Deloitte & Touche. In 2003, George co-founded Herjavec Group, where he has sustained his executive sales track-record. He has brought high-level security solutions to many notable corporations across a variety of industries.
Sean C. Higgins Co-Founder & CTO Customer Success
Sean C. Higgins is the CTO, Customer Success for Herjavec Group, responsible for driving partnership through Managed Services onboarding experiences. Sean thrives on site with our customers, supporting architecture reviews and operations assessments to set the partnership up for success as we go forward into our services relationship. Sean has worked in the Information Technology Field for over 30 years with a specific focus on Internet Security for the last 20 years. In the early days of Internet Security, Sean worked closely with Check Point Firewall-1 in bringing the technology to Canada and then assisting in the development and delivery of Check Point training courses throughout Canada. Over the years, Sean became a trusted advisor in Internet Security and has been called upon to lead teams to assist companies in remediation of corporate security incidents. Sean was one of the first to be called as an expert witness in a Canadian court regarding a cyber-security incident. He was named the first CTO of the month in September 2012 by IT Focus. Sean is also a speaker and author.
Jennifer Ogle, CPA, CA Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer is the Chief Financial Officer at Herjavec Group, responsible for enhancing the organization’s operational performance, financial reporting, and value in alignment with the executive team and financial community. Reporting directly to HG’s CEO Robert Herjavec, she has extensive experience in all aspects of financial management, accounting and corporate reporting having held multiple executive roles including Director of Finance & Corporate Controller at Teranet Inc and Chief Accounting Officer and Country Controller at GM Canada Inc. Jennifer holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (Chartered Accountant) designation and a Bachelor of Business Administration with high honors from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Matt Anthony CISO, Incident Response
Matt Anthony is Chief Information Security Officer at Herjavec Group, responsible for spearheading the company’s information security vision, strategy and execution. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Matt held numerous leadership positions focused in enterprise security programs, most recently at Alberta Health Services, a $14 billion, 115,000 seat enterprise. Matt has been at the forefront of the information security practice for many years, building and implementing effective programs to govern and manage risk. He has developed and operated Security Operations Centres, led security incident response practices, created policy and governance frameworks, and implemented and operated digital investigation teams. Matt believes strongly in positioning information security as an enabler of business by promoting an architectural and risk-based approach to program development and management.
Erin McLean SVP Marketing & Human Resources
Erin McLean is the SVP of Marketing and Human Resources for Herjavec Group, responsible for directing the brand, driving go-to market strategy and supporting internal and external communications. She oversees all branded programming, channel alliances, and end to end human resources initiatives. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Erin contributed to the acceleration of some of Canada’s top brands at Virgin Mobile, Bell Mobility and the Canadian Olympic Committee. Erin holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
J.R. Cunningham VP STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS
An accomplished innovator and premier thinker in cybersecurity and risk management with a proven track record of success, J.R. Cunningham has performed executive consulting, architecture, and assessment work across the globe and in a wide variety of industries, including finance, insurance, healthcare, education, the intelligence community, retail, and government. J.R. is noted for leveraging his IT, security and business acumen to build an industry respected consulting practice for Optiv. Prior to his work in security and risk, J.R. directed technology operations at MarketWatch.com, one of the world’s most visited websites. As VP of Strategic Solutions at Herjavec Group, J.R.’s areas of expertise include (i) building & running security programs (CISO & CIRO), (ii) Security Strategy Assessment & Consulting, (iii) Cyber Practitioner & Sales Force Leadership and (iv) creating successful product & services pipelines through strategic consulting.
Adam Crawford VP Managed Services
Adam Crawford brings significant experience in risk management & compliance, security operations, incident response and cloud adoption to his role as VP Managed Security Services. He holds an MBA from Durham University and retains the CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH, SFCA & GCFE certifications, is a member of ISACA & ISC2 and also holds Canadian secret clearance. Prior to joining Herjavec Group Adam was a partner in Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services. He also held management roles at Forsythe Technology Canada and NATO Computer Incident Response Capability (NCIRC).
Eric Cowperthwaite VP Professional Services
As Vice President of Professional Services, Eric oversees HG’s Advisory Services, Security Assessment & Testing, Technical Architecture & Implementation, and Identity Services practices. He is committed to hiring, and retaining top talent, investing in training, and continuing to elevate HG service delivery methodologies. Eric is a veteran security leader with 30+ years of experience across multiple industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, state and local government, and financial services. Previously, Eric has served as a CISO at Providence Health & Services, Global Director of Information Security at Esterline Technologies, and has held a variety of Professional Services roles with expertise in risk management, governance, system engineering, and operational delivery. Eric has also served in the US Army for 10 years and upon returning to Sacramento, CA, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from CSU.
Katherine Isaac VP Service Delivery
Katherine Isaac is Vice President of Service Delivery at Herjavec Group, overseeing all technical project execution while ensuring service excellence and customer success. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Katherine has held leadership roles with the Regional Municipality of York and World Vision Canada. She is passionate about creating opportunities for underprivileged youth and supporting women in STEM, and is a proud member of the Executive Roundtable for the Black Professionals Technology Network (BPTN). Kathy has an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
Andy Woolford Director Sales UK
Andy Woolford is the Director of Sales for Herjavec Group in the UK. He has over 17 years sales experience in the security market space. Andy started his journey in Security in 1998 working for Network Associates (Now Intel Security) where he held several sales and management positions engaging with Global Enterprise Clients and System Integrators. Andy then joined Integralis (Now NTT Communications) to manage their largest System Integrator before joining Sysec LTD (acquired by Herjavec Group) to build a sales team and deliver on the growth strategy. Andy is passionate about security and focusing on delivering customer excellence.
