George Frempong Co-Founder & SVP Sales
George Frempong is Senior Vice President of Sales and Co-Founder of Herjavec Group, bringing nearly twenty years of sales experience in the Canadian networking security industry to the company. George started his IT career with BRAK Systems in 1997 as a Security Solutions Sales Representative. When BRAK was sold to AT&T Canada in 2000, George worked with AT&T’s Internet and eBusiness division and later moved to Deloitte & Touche. In 2003, George co-founded Herjavec Group, where he has sustained his executive sales track-record. He has brought high-level security solutions to many notable corporations across a variety of industries.
Sean C. Higgins Co-Founder & VP of Professional Services
Sean C. Higgins is the VP of Professional Services and co-founder of Herjavec Group. Sean has worked in the Information Technology Field for over 30 years with a specific focus on Internet Security for the last 20 years. In the early days of Internet Security, Sean worked closely with Check Point Firewall-1 in bringing the technology to Canada and then assisting in the development and delivery of Check Point training courses throughout Canada. Over the years, Sean became a trusted advisor in Internet Security and has been called upon to lead teams to assist companies in remediation of corporate security incidents. Sean was one of the first to be called as an expert witness in a Canadian court regarding a cyber-security incident. He was named the first CTO of the month in September 2012 by IT Focus. Sean is also a speaker and author.
Ira Goldstein SVP Corporate Development
Ira Goldstein is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Herjavec Group, accountable for business development, investments, and service advancement initiatives globally. Ira has previously held executive roles in Managed Security Services and Professional Services across the organization. He has led complex information security programs and projects in a variety of sectors, with companies across Canada, the United States (U.S.) and United Kingdom (U.K.). Ira completed his graduate studies at the London School of Economics.
Lewie Dunsworth, CISSP CISO & EVP Global Security Services
Lewie Dunsworth is CISO & Executive Vice President of Global Security Services at Herjavec Group, bringing more than 17 years of information security experience to the role. Prior to Herjavec Group, Lewie held executive roles as the CISO at H&R Block and the SVP of Advisory Services & Managed Services at Optiv. His business-forward approach helps companies create a balanced strategy and effective security program, to adequately protect their most critical assets. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University and a Master of Business Administration, Executive from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
J.R. Cunningham SVP Professional Services
An accomplished innovator and premier thinker in cybersecurity and risk management with a proven track record of success, J.R. Cunningham has performed executive consulting, architecture, and assessment work across the globe and in a wide variety of industries, including finance, insurance, healthcare, education, the intelligence community, retail, and government. J.R. is noted for leveraging his IT, security and business acumen to build an industry respected consulting practice for Optiv. Prior to his work in security and risk, J.R. directed technology operations at MarketWatch.com, one of the world’s most visited websites. J.R.’s areas of expertise include (i) building & running security programs (CISO & CIRO), (ii) Security Strategy Assessment & Consulting, (iii) Cyber Practitioner & Sales Force Leadership and (iv) creating successful product & services pipelines through strategic consulting. In his role as SVP Professional Services at Herjavec Group he oversees the Advisory Services, Technical Architecture & Implementation, Identity Services, Threat Management & Incident Responses practices.
Jennifer Ogle, CPA, CA Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer is the Chief Financial Officer at Herjavec Group, responsible for enhancing the organization’s operational performance, financial reporting, and value in alignment with the executive team and financial community. Reporting directly to HG’s CEO Robert Herjavec, she has extensive experience in all aspects of financial management, accounting and corporate reporting having held multiple executive roles including Director of Finance & Corporate Controller at Teranet Inc and Chief Accounting Officer and Country Controller at GM Canada Inc. Jennifer holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (Chartered Accountant) designation and a Bachelor of Business Administration with high honors from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Erin McLean SVP Marketing & Human Resources
Erin McLean is the SVP of Marketing and Human Resources for Herjavec Group, responsible for directing the brand, driving go-to market strategy and supporting internal and external communications. She oversees all branded programming, channel alliances, and end to end human resources initiatives. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Erin contributed to the acceleration of some of Canada’s top brands at Virgin Mobile, Bell Mobility and the Canadian Olympic Committee. Erin holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
Jerry Nguyen VP Threat Management & Incident Response
Jerry leads Herjavec Group’s Threat Management & Incident Response team with accountability for HG’s Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Red Teaming and Vulnerability Management Services. His efforts drive innovative and collaborative content development between our Professional Services and Managed Services teams. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Jerry Nguyen was the CSOC Manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and also held executive roles at Crowdstrike and Mandiant. With over seventeen years of experience in information security, Jerry specializes in incident response, computer forensic investigations, and information security training. He has been involved with multiple credit data theft cases, government intrusion cases and Fortune 500 intrusion cases. Jerry also had a nine year career in the US Marine Corp specializing in both physical and information security. On his last tour he led the Marine Corp CSOC.
Melissa Zicopula VP Managed Services
Melissa Zicopula has over 10 years of experience in government and corporate sectors in various executive roles within global cybersecurity operations. She has been responsible for developing and improving the managed services practices and SOC operations across US federal and global gaming organizations. Melissa leads the overall Managed Services practice for Herjavec Group, overseeing SOC operations, driving content development and enriching customer analytics.
Chris Risenhoover VP Sales US
Chris Risenhoover, Herjavec Group’s Vice President of Sales in the US, has had an exciting and varied career in cybersecurity. He started as a software developer in the defense sector for Texas Instruments and held various roles in engineering and sales across the organization. He held executive sales positions with Raytheon, Spearhead Securities and CopiaTech (a specialized VAR he founded and sold, focused on mainframe security solutions). Chris joined Herjavec Group through the acquisition of Galaxy Tech in 2014 and now leads the enterprise sales team across the US. He serves on the SMU Cyber Security Advisory board, were he helps shape course content and training offered for executive certificate programs. Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Mathematics.
Andy Woolford Director Sales UK
Andy Woolford is the Director of Sales for Herjavec Group in the UK. He has over 17 years sales experience in the security market space. Andy started his journey in Security in 1998 working for Network Associates (Now Intel Security) where he held several sales and management positions engaging with Global Enterprise Clients and System Integrators. Andy then joined Integralis (Now NTT Communications) to manage their largest System Integrator before joining Sysec LTD (acquired by Herjavec Group) to build a sales team and deliver on the growth strategy. Andy is passionate about security and focusing on delivering customer excellence.
