Robert’s ability to interpret industry trends and understand enterprise business security demands has helped him achieve the profile of a global cybersecurity expert. He has served as a Cybersecurity Advisor for the Government of Canada, participated in the White House Summit on Cybersecurity and recently joined the US Chamber of Commerce Task Force for Cybersecurity. His views on the threat landscape, on emerging technologies and on the need for a proactive security framework are regularly profiled across print, digital and television mediums. He shares his expertise with other entrepreneurs each week as a leading Shark on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning hit Shark Tank.
Co-Founder & SVP Sales
George Frempong is Senior Vice President of Sales and Co-Founder of Herjavec Group, bringing nearly twenty years of sales experience in the Canadian networking security industry to the company. George started his IT career with BRAK Systems in 1997 as a Security Solutions Sales Representative. When BRAK was sold to AT&T Canada in 2000, George worked with AT&T’s Internet and eBusiness division and later moved to Deloitte & Touche. In 2003, George co-founded Herjavec Group, where he has sustained his executive sales track-record. He has brought high-level security solutions to many notable corporations across a variety of industries.
Sean C. Higgins
Co-Founder & CTO
Sean C. Higgins is the CTO and co-founder of Herjavec Group. Sean has worked in the Information Technology Field for over 30 years with a specific focus on Internet Security for the last 20 years. In the early days of Internet Security, Sean worked closely with Check Point Firewall-1 in bringing the technology to Canada and then assisting in the development and delivery of Check Point training courses throughout Canada.
Over the years, Sean became a trusted advisor in Internet Security and has been called upon to lead teams to assist companies in remediation of corporate security incidents. Sean was one of the first to be called as an expert witness in a Canadian court regarding a cyber-security incident. He was named the first CTO of the month in September 2012 by IT Focus. Sean is also a speaker and author.
Atif Ghauri is the CTO for Herjavec Group in the USA and is primarily responsible for developing strategic relationships to further our managed services practice. Atif has over 15 years of experience in technology strategy, implementation and business development from Comcast, IBM and Unisys. Prior to Herjavec Group, he spent four years at Comcast serving as the CISO for the advanced engineering group. He led all product and operational security work streams to launch next generation X1 Platform and Xfinity Home Security product and services. At Comcast, Atif invented and deployed a patent pending fraud detection technology operational on over one million customer devices.
Atif earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, and holds Master of Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
SVP Technical Operations
Chris Pratapas is the SVP of Technical Operations for Herjavec Group, accountable for all technical service teams including consulting, professional, managed and remediation services. Chris has a wealth of experience in executive operations across multiple industries including: financial services, telecommunications and hospitality. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, he held the position of VP of Technology Support Services for Hilton Hotels Worldwide supporting over 12,000 employees globally with a responsibility for internal IT services. Chris was also responsible for IT, networking and telephony globally as VP of Telecommunications & IT Infrastructure at the Royal Bank of Canada from 2009-2012.
SVP Business Development
Ira Goldstein is the SVP of Business Development for Herjavec Group, accountable for the organization’s expansion across the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to this position, Ira has served as PMO Director, and VP of Technical Services leading technical SMEs and clients from diverse industries to deliver a wide array of IT Security projects. Ira has a passion for building and growing technology services companies. He regularly evaluates prospects for acquisition and is responsible for post-transaction integration. Ira joined Herjavec Group in 2009, as a certified Project Management Professional, and holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics in the UK.
John Moy is the SVP Finance at Herjavec Group. He graduated from York University / Schulich School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, majoring in accounting. He did his CA internship with Coopers & Lybrand (now called PricewaterhouseCoopers). John has been leading the company’s finance and operation department since 2003 and has assisted in the growth of the company internally and through acquisitions.
SVP Marketing & Communications
Erin McLean is the SVP of Marketing and Communications for Herjavec Group, responsible for directing the brand, driving go-to market strategy and supporting internal and external communications. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Erin contributed to the acceleration of some of Canada’s top brands at Virgin Mobile, Bell Mobility and the Canadian Olympic Committee. Erin holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
VP Managed Services Technology
Nathan Sherlock is the VP of Managed Services Technology for Herjavec Group. He has worked within the Managed Services field for almost 10 years and is passionate about SIEM and security monitoring. Nathan holds various certifications including CISSP, CEH, GCIH, GSLC, and always strives to advance his security knowledge, while improving the security posture for Herjavec Group’s managed clients.
Director Sales UK
Andy Woolford is the Director of Sales for Herjavec Group in the UK. He has over 17 years sales experience in the security market space. Andy started his journey in Security in 1998 working for Network Associates (Now Intel Security) where he held several sales and management positions engaging with Global Enterprise Clients and System Integrators. Andy then joined Integralis (Now NTT Communications) to manage their largest System Integrator before joining Sysec LTD (acquired by Herjavec Group) to build a sales team and deliver on the growth strategy. Andy is passionate about security and focusing on delivering customer excellence.
VP Remediation Services
Matt Anthony is the VP of Remediation Services at Herjavec Group. Prior to joining Herjavec Group, Matt held numerous leadership positions focused in enterprise security programs, most recently at Alberta Health Services, a $14 billion, 115,000 seat enterprise.
Matt has been at the forefront of the information security practice for many years, building and implementing effective programs to govern and manage risk. He has developed and operated Security Operations Centres, led security incident response practices, created policy and governance frameworks, and implemented and operated digital investigation teams. Matt believes strongly in positioning information security as an enabler of business by promoting an architectural and risk-based approach to program development and management.
