Security Consultant

Role Summary

The Security Consultant is within the Professional Services team and will have responsibility for scoping and implementing security solutions.  This role requires an overall understanding of security from the endpoints, to gateway and perimeter solutions.  Specific skills with implementing SIEM and endpoint solutions would be desirable. 


Include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with customer teams to gather security requirements information
  • Design and implementation of specified security solutions within customer environments
  • Performing health checks on implemented security solutions within customer environments

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • A high-level holistic view of security solutions and how they benefit a customer
  • Experience with designing and implementing SIEM solutions
  • Experience with designing and implementing any of the following security areas:
    • Network security (e.g. firewalls, IPS/IDS)
    • Gateway security (e.g. email and web gateways)
    • Endpoint security (e.g. Anti-Virus, Application Control, Host Intrusion Prevention, Endpoint Encryption, DLP)
  • Experience with any of the following Intel Security product areas:
    • Data Protection
    • Network Defence
    • Risk & Compliance
    • System Security
    • Web Security
  • Must be able to adapt quickly, handle a steep learning curve and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task to fulfill client requirements
  • Must have a passion for learning
  • Must have a strong desire to be proactive
  • Must be willing to do what it takes to make a difference
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Diligent, detail-oriented and possesses a success-driven work ethic
