BNN: Privacy and Security Weigh on Tech Sector

Herjavec Group Founder & CEO, Robert Herjavec, appeared on BNN recently to talk about data privacy and security, the Internet of Things (IoT), and why the government must step in to set regulations for data privacy.
According to Robert, there has been an influx of organizations using data to influence media. "The age of personal privacy is dead," Robert said. "Everything is available online now."
When it comes to the rising use of IoT devices in everyday lives, Robert stated, "Convenience always trumps security for the consumer." With this in mind, governments will have to step in with privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
